we are not the blade, nor the hilt, but the pig that is cut, cooked, roasted and wasted.
personifying companies can be dangerous as they are not a person nor a people. these entities exist can only exist with profit.
then why are companies personified?
beyond materialisms, people’s livelihood literally depends on these companies. we as people tied our identities to what is important to us; what we rely on. much of business is built around relating to people; penetrating their lives, shifting the reliance of, from people to business. also, at the face of these businesses lie people. these people try to be relatable, try to be famous, try to be rich and use the hearts, minds and wallets of the people they “serve” at the cost of those same people.
personification of these capitalist entities are only natural as they are composed of people, however they are dangerous because the people are not the purpose, they are the means.
